Christmas bottle filled with homemade Eggnog makes a wonderful Christmas gift…

I hope you guys got what you asked for (from Santa ) because I did! Clearly I made it in the nice list again this year ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for stopping by, you made my blog so lively and fun, I wish you peace and happiness…ย  Thanx for sharing you poems, arts, photos, recipes, and thoughts, I have learned a lot from all of you and Iโ€™m looking forward to learning more next year.ย  Everyone, THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Before I go, Iโ€™ll leave you with a delightful Eggnog recipe I love making this time of the year.

4 egg yolks
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Cups Whole milk
1 cup All purpose cream
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanillaย  extract
a shot of Jack Daniels
a shot of bourbon

Painted Horlicks bottle

Using electric mixer, beat the yolks and whole egg until smooth and light.ย  Add the sugar and beat until dissolved completely.ย ย  In a saucepan, add the milk, cream, salt and nutmeg, heat on high just until it simmers ( don’t boil) .ย  Remove from heat and pour it gradually while stirring on the yolk-sugar mixture.ย ย  Pour everything back to the saucepan and heat while stirring until it thickens.ย  Remove from heat, add the alcohol, let cool, then refrigerate.

Pray, Eat and be Merry!

  1. Hi Abby, thanks for sharing your homemade eggnog, should taste amazing! I can’t stomach the store bought stuff, grossly over sweetened. Wishing you and your family a safe & wonderful holiday season! Be well.

    • Homemade is always so much better than store bought, well at least the stuff I make lol ๐Ÿ™‚ Merry Merry Christmas!

    • Awww thanx ๐Ÿ™‚ I love making instead of buying my Christmas presents, I find it more meaningful when it’s personalized. Merry Christmas!
