Before I go, I’ll leave you with a delightful Eggnog recipe I love making this time of the year.
4 egg yolks
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Cups Whole milk
1 cup All purpose cream
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
a shot of Jack Daniels
a shot of bourbon
Using electric mixer, beat the yolks and whole egg until smooth and light. Add the sugar and beat until dissolved completely. In a saucepan, add the milk, cream, salt and nutmeg, heat on high just until it simmers ( don’t boil) . Remove from heat and pour it gradually while stirring on the yolk-sugar mixture. Pour everything back to the saucepan and heat while stirring until it thickens. Remove from heat, add the alcohol, let cool, then refrigerate.
